The Jellyfish Problem
by Tessa Yang

It is a creative topic. I was entertained and learned about jellyfish as well. If you liked the book Remarkably Bright Creatures I think you will also like this book.

Gay the Pray Away

I really wish they went more into the development of the girls’ relationship. It felt very rushed and abrupt. However, an important story as this sadly happens to people out there.

The Crying of Lot 49
by Thomas Pynchon

Incredible novel depicting the obsession and paranoia of a morally grey heroine. Oedipa Maas demonstrates the mass hysteria of Cold War America and Pynchon inspects the psychological effects of the looming presence of secret societies.

Truly Devious

I completely understand that this was the first in (I think 5) so there needed to be a lot of world building. However, I needed a bit more solved or just something here. Not sure if I’ll finish the series…

Another compelling thriller set at Haven's Rock. Detective Casey and her husband Eric must use their wits to figure out who is kidnapping women in their remote Alaskan refuge.

Rainbow Cottage

First published in 1934 As a longtime fan of Grace Livingston Hill, I found this book to be rollicking good fun! It contained nearly all of GLH’s signature elements: adventure, a heinous villain, a nasty worldly “villainess,” a “lost heiress” type mystery complete with an ancient Scottish castle, a near-drowning in the encroaching tide during a violent storm, a pilot with his own private plane, life on the shore, and at the very end, the miraculous homecoming of a prodigal son followed by a wedding under the titular rainbow. ?? How did she combine all these elements and make it reasonably coherent? Very fun.

I love Frieda McFadden books, they are hard to stop reading until finished. I definitely recommend reading the coworker.

Holiday Ever After

A sweet small town romance. It was giving Hallmark movie vibes with more spice… Enjoyable, predictable, but exactly what you’d expect. I enjoyed it!

Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One

A completely original idea and text. I can’t say I’ve read many other texts where the MC is a clown. I just wish there was more of a storyline, but enjoyable!

The Last Message Received

This book includes many heavy topics. I would not recommend reading before bed. I do, however, love the idea behind it, and I think it’s so valuable to think about life in the way this book forces us to. The designs on each page are lovely, and I very much enjoyed reading this beautiful book.
